Ever since I was a little kid, I loved to paint and draw. I guess it’s not a surprise that what started out as a hobby going to an art studio once a week, sparked my passion for all things creative including design. In everything I design, I’m driven by the passion to create meaning and jump on any chance to work with my hands.
02. I grew up in Irvine, CA.
03. I love the feeling of walking around in a big city. It makes me feel part of a larger whole, yet anonymous and like I can tackle anything.
04. Bookstores are my happy place. Some of my favorites are Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle, WA, Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, CA, and McNally Jackson Seaport in Manhattan, NY.
05. With bookstores being my happy place, of course I love to read. My top picks are The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, and The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri.
06. Shows I love: Insecure, The Handmaid's Tale, and Watchmen.
07. I didn't grow up playing any instruments, so learning how to play the piano has become by quarantine hobby.
08. I love water sports. I used to swim and play water polo growing up.
09. Besides design, I'm interested in biology and psychology. In another life I probably would've become a doctor.
